First off some of you may remember this thread about 2 years ago: http://www.smakzone.com/forum/index.php?sh...ic=1438&hl=

Well the new victim has arrived:

The goal is to make it look something similar to this one:

So the first thing that needs to happen is decide whether to send it to Rufus Dawg for Centerfeeding or to put a Cyclone on it. What do you think I should do?

Also any suggestion on upgrades, looks, paint schemes is appreciated. The point of this thread is to get some activity back in the forum. I will be updating this often with pictures of the projects progress.

Cyclone I think you will like it better. Then get all the tech t upgrades for the cyclone. Doubled triggered e grip. Nice looking drop forward. Try a jnj barrel, and i think you should let me paint it. Im thinking a smoke color scheme, possibly a smoke that fades to black. Hows that for starters

Cyclone feeds on 98 Customs are just wrong! If you want a cyclone, get an A-5. biggrin.gif Get a centerfeed, upgrade the trigger to be incredibly light (as in something you can walk), and get either a gray/smoke to black scheme like Cobra suggested or try for your typical ess-oh-gee seven special: desert camo.

Well I am looking more at getting a centerfeed because I already have some nice hoppers, its cheaper, and centerfeed 98's look cool. I have been thinking about a black and red paint scheme but silver/smoke does sound cool.

I will be going with a TechT Fang trigger for sure.

So I decided to do some weighing tonight because I also want to decrease the amount of weight the marker has. It weighs 3 pounds 1 ounce with battery, barrel, and hopper adapter.

Marker and Barrel weight:

Hopper Adapter weight:

At this time I will not set a goal for the amount of weight I want to drop. Mainly I just don't want to add weight.

go to techt and get the ACT zero kick hammer. I bought the zero kick hammer for the x7 and 1, it makes the gun quieter and 2, the kick is almost gone. I highly recommend this. also get a rufus dog bolt! they work awesome!

Stubbs when I get ready to order I will let you know. I think I have decided to have it centerfeeded. So Monday I will be getting it ready to be sent to Rufus so that they can machine the body halves. The Techt zero kick hammer is also on the list of must do's. I will probably go with the Orange Howitzer bolt because it has an internal o-ring.

Dremel work will start once the body halves come back from Rufus.

That 98C in the picture is sweet. I've never seen a 98 with eyes, very cool. I wish I never would have gotten rid of my 2 98's.

I agree, centerfeed it. For the regulator I would get a Palmers Female Stabilizer Reg. (mounts where the bottomline asa is) I had a Stabilizer on each of my 98's and they were insanely consistent! If you wanna get real crazy with the finish, email Fireball Mountain Customs and see if they are still doing custom engraving. cool.gif

Maybe I need one of those... my female seems pretty unstable.

Okay so I had to tear the gun apart in order to send it out to Rufus Dawg:

Found this inside the Vavle

Brand new On/Off ASA

Yes that is Loctite on the inside of the gun

All the parts bagged up and marker body ready to be put into the mail

For those that wonder the empty shell weighs

Also some new parts for the marker
